For my final assignment I have decided to work on Creature Design. It met many requirements for this purpose. I love creating creatures so it thrilled me to keep motivation but by giving myself boundaries it also educates me. 
The creature has to fit in some kind of logic. This means I had to do lots of research within the animal kingdom. Besides looking at the existing animals, the different kind of mimicries were essential for my artwork. The procedure of mimicry allowed me to give the design choice a logical feature as in "this creature could be a real animal".
I show you my process of the terrestrial creature I have created with the setting above.
Final result

The appearance of the final illustration is based on scientific artwork and the way Kevin Catalan present his beasts.
